The service

What this policy covers

Teacher App is made available by participating schools for authorised teachers, administrators, and other staff. Depending on the school's settings and your role, the app may provide access to staff and student profiles, class lists, attendance, staff attendance, photos, homework, exams and datesheets, timetables, calendars, notices, internal messages, SMS communication, transport, gate passes, fees and receipts, and authorised school-device information.

Your school decides which records and features you may use. The school generally controls the school information shown in the app; Result Hosting provides and supports the service on the school's behalf.

What we handle

Information used by the app

Only the categories needed for an enabled school service may be used.

Account and staff details Name, sign-in details, contact details, role, designation, school assignment, and staff profile information supplied by the school.

Student and school records Class lists, student profiles and photos, attendance, academic information, homework, notices, calendar, timetable, transport, gate-pass, fee, receipt, and related records.

Attendance and verification Attendance entries, remarks, dates, times, and—where enabled—face-based staff attendance verification and the information needed to confirm it.

Photos and selected files Photos you capture or choose for an approved staff or student profile update, and files or attachments you view through a school feature.

Messages and communication Homework, notices, internal mail, SMS content, recipient contact details, attachments, delivery information, and other content you create or send through the app.

Device and app activity Basic device and app details, permission and notification status, performance measurements, feature events, error information, a limited identifier, and sign-in or access activity used to keep enabled services reliable and safe.

Student information may include information about children. It is supplied and managed by the school and is shown to staff only according to the school's authorisation and your assigned access.

Device access

Permissions explained

Before you can sign in, the app explains and checks the access needed for the staff workspace. Camera, precise location, and notifications must be allowed to continue. If access is denied, you can review the explanation, try again, or manage it in your device settings. Android versions that do not offer notification prompts are handled according to the access status provided by the device.

Camera Used when you choose to capture a staff or student photo, or use face-based staff attendance.

Location Used for staff attendance checks and related reminders when enabled. The app is not designed for continuous location tracking.

Notifications Used for school notices, messages, attendance reminders, calendar reminders, and other enabled updates.

Internet and network status Used to connect to school services, load authorised records, send updates, and keep enabled features synchronised.

The app does not request broad storage, contacts, microphone, phone or call-log, or SMS-inbox access. A photo or file is used only when you actively choose it for an enabled school action.

Why it is needed

How information is used

to confirm authorised staff access and apply the school permissions attached to your account;
to display and update school, student, attendance, academic, communication, transport, gate-pass, and financial records;
to support staff attendance verification, including camera and location checks where the school enables them;
to send school communications and reminders, and to keep communication and attendance history;
to respond to support requests, prevent misuse, maintain reliable service through limited diagnostics and service analytics, and meet school, financial, safety, and legal obligations.

Limited disclosure

Participating school

Authorised school personnel may access information needed for education, administration, communication, attendance, and other approved school work.

Service providers

Trusted providers may process information only when needed to host, support, communicate, or deliver a school-enabled service.

Legal or safety reasons

Information may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, school property, or the service.

External links

If school content opens another service, that service's own privacy policy applies to information you provide there.

We do not sell personal information and do not use school information for targeted advertising or unrelated marketing.

Care and control

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No service can be guaranteed completely secure, so keep your sign-in details private and tell your school promptly about suspected misuse.

Information is kept only for as long as needed to provide the school service and meet school, financial, safety, support, or legal requirements. Some limited information may remain on your device for sign-in and feature operation; signing out ends the active app session.

Your choices

Access, correction, deletion, and permissions

Manage camera, location, and notification permissions in your device settings. Features that depend on a disabled permission may not work.
For staff or student records, attendance, results, homework, fees, messages, photos, transport, or gate-pass information, contact your school office first.
You may ask the school or our support contact to access, correct, or delete your app account information and associated records. We may verify the request and may retain records that the school or law requires us to keep.

Schools and families

Student information

Teacher App is intended for authorised school staff, but it may display information about students, including minors, for legitimate school purposes. The school is responsible for providing those records and the permissions required to use them. Parents or guardians should contact the school office with questions about a student's record.
