StudentApp is a school service supported by Result Hosting. Your school remains responsible for its student records and for deciding which app features are available. This policy describes the information used by the app and related school service.

In short: we use information needed to provide school services, help protect accounts, send school communications, and process a payment when a user chooses to make one.

School records Your school supplies the student information shown in the app.

Account safety We use limited account, device, and location information to help protect access.

School services Features such as notices, homework, fees, and transport depend on what your school enables.

No advertising sale We do not sell student information or use it for targeted advertising.

What we handle

Information we collect

We may handle the following categories of information, depending on the services your school has enabled.

Student and school information Name, school identification details, class or section, attendance, results, fees, homework, notices, transport, gate pass, and other school records supplied by the school.

Account information Sign-in details and the information needed to keep an account available and secure.

Device and activity information Information linked to the device you use, basic device information, and records of app access and security-related activity.

Location information Approximate location and the time it was collected when the app checks authorized account access.

Communications School notices, message details when a user contacts a teacher, and information showing whether enabled communications were delivered or opened.

Payment information Payment amount, school fee details, payment reference, payment status, and contact details used to complete an online payment.

Why it is needed

How we use information

We use information to:

show school records, services, notices, and other features selected by the school;
confirm account access, protect against misuse, and help resolve support or security concerns;
send school communications and keep a record of important app activity;
process and confirm an online fee payment chosen by the user; and
meet school, financial, security, and legal record-keeping requirements.

Location

How location information is used

The app may ask for permission to collect your approximate location during account access and security checks. This helps the school maintain a record of authorized access and protect student accounts.

Important to know

The app does not track location while it is in the background. You can change location permission in your phone settings. If you turn off location permission, account access may be unavailable because the school requires this security check.

We share information only when it is needed to run the school service or when required by law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use student information for targeted advertising or unrelated marketing.

Online fees

Payments

If your school enables online fee payments, the app can open a payment process provided by Razorpay. Razorpay handles the payment details entered during that process under its own privacy practices.

To start a payment, basic student or parent contact details, such as a name, email address, or phone number, may be shared with Razorpay when they are available for the transaction. The school service may receive payment confirmation details, such as the amount, payment reference, and status, so the payment can be matched to the correct student account. Your choices

Access, correction, deletion, and permissions

Ask to see or correct information

Contact your school office first for student records, attendance, results, fees, or other school information. The school can review and correct records it controls.

Request deletion

A parent, guardian, or authorized account holder may request deletion by contacting the school office or emailing resulthostingnet@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request and may keep information that must be retained for school records, payment reconciliation, security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Manage permissions and notifications

You can manage location and notification permissions in your phone settings. Turning off a permission can limit the related app feature. You can also change how your device receives app notifications.

We use reasonable safeguards to help protect information. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should keep their account details private and contact the school promptly if they suspect unauthorized access.
